At Maison Perrotte, love of fruit goes hand in hand with commitment. What if tasting an artisanal jam could also support access to healthcare in Africa?
That's the spirit behind this new solidarity box, born of a meeting between passion, terroir and humanity.
A project of heart and conviction
It all began at Château de Fosse-Sèche, with the creation of a conservatory orchard of old varieties.
The idea? Plant, pass on and harvest... tomorrow. Because the first fruits of this orchard will not be ready for another 6 to 10 years.
But the action starts now.
In partnership with Bioparc Conservation, ASGN (Association pour la Sauvegarde des Girafes du Niger) and theKIBOUJ association, over 1,900 fruit trees (mango, papaya and guava) have already been planted in Niger.
These trees are entrusted to women market gardeners, around locally financed wells. A virtuous circle: environment, autonomy, solidarity.
A committed box, to give or to treat yourself
Maison Perrotte - World Jam Champion - has come up with a 100% committed box, made up of 3 exotic jams:
- Papaya
- Mango
- Guava
Each jar is an ode to tropical fruits, cooked with finesse and craftsmanship.
But above all: every box sold finances the hiring of a midwife and a nurse at Harikansou and Kiota, two health centers in Niger.
A poetic touch, a real impact
This box is also a meaningful object. Illustrator Agathe Faucheur de Battioti has created a moving visual, printed on 100% recycled paper in keeping with the project's environmental commitments. And as the African proverb adorning the box so aptly puts it:
"He who has planted a tree before dying has not lived uselessly."
When greed and solidarity come together
Buying this box is much more than a gourmet gesture. It's participating in a chain of human, ecological and sustainable values. It's a concrete way to consume differently, and to give meaning to your gifts or sweet moments.
