For the month of December, you've decided to stop relay point deliveries. What's the reason for this?
Indeed, it was not an easy decision to make.
Nevertheless, in view of the last three years, it was an obvious choice.
First of all, it's a question of image for Maison Perrotte. All internet orders are sent via logistics service providers (Chronopost, relais colis, colis éco, TNT...) and unfortunately we have no control over the quality of their service.
What's more, the few negative customer feedbacks on our site during this period came precisely from the delivery service.
With the surge in activity over the festive season, the quality of the service has deteriorated even further.
In previous years, my wife spent every morning following up on parcels, responding to stressed-out customers waiting for their packages to arrive, hopefully before the fateful Christmas date.
Relais colis and colis éco are more economical services, but with an average delivery time of 5 to 7 working days, which can extend to over 10 days during the festive season, if there are no problems on the part of the service provider.
The stress generated in my team, whose aim is always to satisfy our customers with both our products and our services, was becoming difficult to manage.
I have therefore decided to have a single service provider for our customers over the holiday period, which will be La Poste.
Deliveries are normally made within 3 to 5 working days during this period.
This should satisfy our customers even more. They'll be less stressed, and so will my team. For me, the holiday season should be a time of joy.
What impact does this have on parcel management?
No particular impact, but parcels should arrive at home more quickly, creating less stress over the festive period and, above all, ensuring that our customers receive the service they expect.
Will relay point deliveries resume?
From January 1, 2024, relay point deliveries will be reintroduced in order to continue offering this more economical service.
